Fiona's Accessories

Authentic Hats, Shoes & Thingummy-bobs
photo: Fiona in her1940s red playsuit

Owners of antique shops, retro- fashion shops and car boot stalls look forward to Fiona's return to their towns, because she can't resist buying yesteryear hats, gloves, fans, handbags, shoes, stoles and jewellery to match her period dresses.

What Fiona can't find second-hand she has specially made - or designs and makes herself.

Her huge costume collection includes authentic accessories for every decade of the last century...

1940s suit with sable wrap and Russel & Bromley wedge shoes (see also below)
Victorian style hat previously owned by Hinge & Bracket. Fiona's black velvet cloak with silk applique dates from 1875
1940's Black & White wool felt hat with white Petersham trimming 1940s Brown Peach bloom hat with 40s costume jewellery
Hand-crafted Victorian style black leather boots

Repro 1920s purple satin dance shoes and slightly scuffed but genuine 20s silver dance shoes

1940s brown wool felt hat with 40s crocodile skin shoe

Hand-crafted 1940s style yellow & black tap shoes used in 'How Hovis Won the War'
Fiona's Masked Ball face mask didn't look like this when she first spotted it on an antiques fair stall at Lamport Hall...

It was sternly square and very broken...

...but a little shaping to the contours of her face ... and a dab or three of silver solder worked wonders!
